Get ready to roll, because the City of Gosnells’ annual Roll on Skate Park series is about to start.

Roll on Skate Park is a series of competitions, park jams and clinics for skateboard, scooter and BMX, starting on Saturday 23 October and running until March.

City of Gosnells Chief Executive Officer Ian Cowie said the clinics were suitable for children and young people aged five and up, while the park jams and competitions were suitable for those aged seven and over.

“All the Roll On Skate Park events have a great family-friendly atmosphere, with lots of parents and younger siblings watching on the sidelines," he said.

“The clinics are suitable for beginner riders, and the competitions are suited to more experienced riders, with the park jams suitable for everyone.”

The first two events take place on Saturday 23 October, with a Learn 2 Skateboard Clinic at Mills Park Skate Plaza from 9am to 11am, before a skateboard, scooter and BMX competition takes place at Maddington Skate Park between 2pm and 5pm.

Equipment is provided at clinics, so beginners can learn the very basics, while those who have mastered the basics can learn new tricks and skills. Park jams are supervised with music, a free barbecue, spot prizes and giveaways, demonstrations and more. There are also great prizes on offer at the competitions.

Registrations are compulsory for all clinics and competitions at thehive.net.au.
