Local community members are invited to take advantage of free hearing checks at City of Gosnells libraries during February 2023, with bookings available now.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said the free hearing checks were the result of a partnership between the City and Hearing Australia.

“Regular hearing checks can help to identify hearing problems early, when they are easier to treat and before hearing loss becomes significant,” she said.

“Hearing loss can be a barrier to people being active in their community and so this partnership provides a fantastic opportunity for the City to support residents’ health and wellbeing.”

The free hearing checks will take place at the following locations and times:

  • Mills Park Library on 8 February between 10am and 12pm
  • Amherst Village Library on 14 February between 10am and 12pm
  • Knowledge Centre in Gosnells on 15 February between 10am and 12pm
  • Thornlie Library on 20 February between 10am and 12pm

Bookings can be made by emailing library_queries@gosnells.wa.gov.au or calling 9397 3000. Drop-ins are welcome, however priority will be given to those people who book a place.
