Community groups and sports clubs are invited to learn all about creating a positive club culture and breaking down barriers, with WA Cricket Association Chief Executive Officer Christina Matthews.

The event, A Conversation about Club Culture, will take place between 6pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday 23 November, at the Lyal Richardson Hall in Gosnells.

City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said the free event was part of the City of Gosnells’ Just for Clubs program, which aims to support community groups and sports clubs.

“Active and well-supported sport and recreation groups help to build stronger, healthier and safer communities,” she said.

“Christina will be able to provide some fascinating insights into ways to change and create culture in a community group or club, and how to make your club accessible for everyone.”

The informal event will include opportunities for networking and light refreshments will be provided.

Registrations are open until 19 November for any members of community groups or sporting clubs based in the City of Gosnells, by clicking here. For more information, email community@gosnells.wa.gov.au or call 9391 6022.
