Budding young musicians and bands with members aged 12 to 25 can now submit their entries for Underground Sounds, the annual City of Gosnells competition presented by the team behind Gozzy Rock.

The 2024 competition is free to enter and open to young musicians and bands that have at least one member who lives, works or attends school in the City of Gosnells.

The winner of last year’s top prize was local rockers Viperchain, who wowed the judges with their commanding stage presence.

“I am looking forward to seeing what local music talent comes through in this year’s competition,” Mayor Terresa Lynes said.

“Last year’s finalists proved that we have some fantastic young musicians and bands in our City and I have no doubt that we will see more excellent talent come through again this year.”

Underground Sounds will be held at The Underground youth centre, 2 Holmes Street, Southern River on Saturday 5 October.

Online entries can be submitted via the City’s website and will close on Monday 12 August.
