If spending more time at home has awoken your inner artist, why not put your talents to the test by entering the City of Gosnells new art competition, Home Is Where The Art Is.

Open to all City residents and ratepayers, Home Is Where The Art Is gives people of all ages, using all mediums, a chance to win some great prizes.

Mayor David Goode encouraged entries from artists and aspiring creatives alike, saying their artwork simply needed to highlight something special about the City of Gosnells.

“While people stay at home to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, they may be looking for ways to channel their energy or, in this case their creativity, to keep active or stay connected with their community,” the Mayor said.

“So if you’re handy with a paint brush, camera or potter’s wheel and have a positive, fun or interesting perspective on life in the City of Gosnells, then it’s time to get creative.”

Home Is Where The Art Is will be accepting digital submissions only, so entrants will need to take a photo of their artwork and follow the steps online.

The City of Gosnells and Primewest are providing a $300 art supply voucher for the Overall winner and six art supply vouchers worth $100 each, for the following categories:

  • Junior Primary School (Pre-Primary – Year 3)
  • Upper Primary School (Years 4 – 6)
  • Secondary School (Years 7 – 12)
