Interest is growing in the development of a new business park in Southern River, with the City of Gosnells releasing its business plan for public comment.

The 44.6ha site, bound by Southern River Road, Matison Street, Lander Street and Furley Road, is owned by the City and earmarked for high-quality light commercial industries.

City of Gosnells Mayor David Goode said feedback was now sought on a business plan for the City’s proposed Southern River Business Park subdivision.

“The City received good commercial and sales interest for all stages of the project following engagement with commercial property experts, and this has encouraged us to progress to this point,” the Mayor said.

“This three-stage project features 51 lots of varying sizes, with large areas of public open space, and is set to generate new employment and a much-needed economic boost for our community.”

Feedback on the business plan will guide the City’s decision as to whether to proceed with the proposal and, if supported by the community and Council, the Southern River Business Park proposal will be submitted to the WA Planning Commission for final approval.
