The cold, wet weather is giving way to the warm renewal of life. In Noongar, this transitional time is called "Djilba". In English, it is called "Spring".

In honour of the new season, join us at the Libraries for a free series of workshops that's all about "Spring Cleaning"!

Did you know that almost 40% of the average household bin is taken up by food waste? Presented by sustainability educator Lindsay Miles, this free 2-hour workshop will cover all your options for reducing food waste at home.

Attendees will learn about the different types of home compost bins, the range of various worm farm systems, and bokashi buckets. Whether its DIY models or commercially produced bin systems, Lindsay will share what suits different homes, options for those without a garden, and services available for those with no free time.

Adults only.

Bookings are essential and open to the public on the 20th of August 2024. Click here to book your spot!
