Science isn't just for kids - it's for adults too!

In honour of National Science Week, join us for a free event series that celebrates how science can help in your homes.

Have you ever stood in the aisle for cleaning products and wondered which one you should buy? No matter which one you choose, many commercial cleaning products are harmful to the environment and your family, come in plastic bottles that end up in landfill, and add extra to your weekly spending.

If you know the chemistry behind cleaning, you can make your own products at home that are cheap and kind to the environment. This free workshop will equip you with a basic understanding of household science, and the knowledge to make your own natural alternatives to toxic and expensive cleaners.

Participants will also get to make their own natural citrus cleaner, to take home and use. Please bring your own small to medium-sized jar to the event, for containing the citrus cleaner.

Cleaning with Chemistry is presented by the Switch Your Thinking team and proudly hosted by the City of Gosnells.

The workshop will take place in the Lesser Hall, located upstairs above the Mills Park Library. Bookings are essential, and open to the public on the 11th of July 2024. Click here to book your spot!
