It's never too late to learn!

In honour of Adult Learners' Week, join us at the Libraries for a free series of workshops and learn a new skill!

Do you have an excess of fruit and vegetables in your garden or kitchen? Are you unsure about what to do with extra produce?

Come discover the art of food preserving with Amy Sloan from My Nonna Life. Amy is a self-taught food preserver who learnt the skill out of necessity, in order to deal with the half-tonne of crops growing in her home garden. She is passionate about growing, cooking, and preserving good food, and wants to share the skills of generations past with you!

In this instructional workshop, Amy will cover the basics of food preserving and provide insight into different methods of preserving your produce. Attendees will learn tips and tricks to get started, how to reduce their food waste, and steps towards a more sustainable future.

Embrace your inner Nonna and join us! Adults welcome.

Bookings are essential and open to the public on the 1st of August, 2024. Click here to book your spot!
