The cold, wet weather is giving way to the warm renewal of life. In Noongar, this transitional time is called "Djilba". In English, it is called "Spring".

In honour of the new season, join us at the Libraries for a free series of workshops that's all about "Spring Cleaning"!

Presented by artist and educator Miriam Atkinson, this free 2-hour workshop will show you how to make something beautiful out of something removed from your garden.

Attendees will be shown how to weave their very own beautiful baskets, using hand-sourced weeds or introduced species. In addition to removing weeds and other introduced plants from the local ecosystem, participants will enjoy a mindful, peaceful workshop where they craft a vessel to hold food, gifts, or other special items. All attendees are welcome to bring feathers and other small trinkets to attach to their baskets.

Adults only.

Bookings are essential and open to the public on the 1st of September 2024. Click here to book your spot!
