Mayor Terresa Lynes was first elected to the City of Gosnells Council in 2015 and elected Mayor in 2021. Having lived in the City for more than 30 years and raised her family locally, she is committed to building socially connected, safe and welcoming communities.

Terresa takes a practical, common-sense approach to leadership, with a strong focus on responsible financial management, delivering quality local services and working collaboratively with the community to achieve practical outcomes.

With a Diploma in Local Government, a background in small business, and qualifications as a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and Prosci Change Management Certified, Terresa is committed to continuous learning and effective leadership.

Alongside her role as Mayor, Terresa serves as Chair of the National Growth Areas Alliance Strategic Advisory Committee, a WALGA State Councillor, Chair of the Thornlie Senior High School Board and a Board Member of Redgum Justice.

Aaron has been a Councillor since 2019 and has dedicated his time to helping residents. He was the owner/operator of a small business in the City of Gosnells for 21 years and has lived in Thornlie with his family for the past 25 years.

Dillon lives in the City of Gosnells with his wife. He has spent over a decade working in the education sector in a variety of roles, primarily as a primary school teacher

Cr Glenn Dewhurst

Glenn has been a Councillor for the past 12 years, spending 2 years as Mayor in 2017 and 2018. Even though the Mayoral role was turbulent, it was necessary to shake up the Council, of which he was able to do.

Cr Malik Sajjad

A Huntingdale resident, lived in Australia for more than 20 years including the past decade in the City of Gosnells. Malik is an active social sports participant and a proud committee member at the Thornlie Tennis Club.

Cr Diane Lloyd

Diane has lived with her husband Jon and their two boys Sam and Will in Gosnells for over a decade. She has a close connection with the Gosnells community having run a self-funded Eco Community Hub, Jacaranda House and being the Co-founder of the local not-for-profit Sam’s Spares with her 19-year-old son Sam.

Leah grew up in Thornlie and graduated from Thornlie Senior High School. With her partner, she chose to raise her family in Martin in the beautiful rural part of the City of Gosnells.
